UP Train Schedule Change: Ram Lalla Darshan Train May Be Affected by Varanasi Air Show
The Bilaspur–Ayodhya–Banaras Shri Ramlala Darshan Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train may see schedule changes due to Varanasi’s Wings Over Ganga air show from October 22 to 25, 2026. Railway approval is still awaited.
The Indian Air Force is scheduled to organise the ‘Wings Over Ganga’ air show in Varanasi from October 22 to 25, 2026. The event is primarily planned around Namo Ghat and towards Assi Ghat. Traffic restrictions are expected in several parts of the city during this period, potentially creating difficulties for tourists travelling between destinations. In view of these circumstances, IRCTC has requested a change to the train’s schedule.
The Shri Ramlala Darshan Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, operated under the Shri Ramlala Darshan scheme, is scheduled to undertake its journey from October 21 to 24, 2026. According to the proposed schedule, the train will depart from Bilaspur at 12:30 pm on October 21 and reach Ayodhya Cantt at 2 pm on October 22. Passengers are scheduled to stay in Ayodhya. The railway administration issued an order for the train’s operation on October 19. The train will have a total of 15 LHB coaches.
Under the proposed itinerary, the train will depart from Ayodhya Cantt for Banaras at 9 am on October 23. En route, it will pass through Sultanpur, Pratapgarh and Lohta before reaching Banaras at 2 pm. Passengers are scheduled to explore the city after arrival. The train will then depart for Bilaspur at 11 pm the same night.
According to the proposed timetable, the train is scheduled to reach Bilaspur at 10 pm on October 24. Its prescribed route runs from Bilaspur through Shahdol, Katni, Satna, Manikpur and Prayagraj Chheoki, followed by Pratapgarh, Sultanpur and Ayodhya Cantt. However, the available information does not specify which changes to the previously scheduled itinerary will be finalised.
The proposed schedule revision remains subject to confirmation, as no information has emerged regarding approval from the South East Central Railway. The available details also do not include the train number or the complete original timetable. Passengers should therefore not treat the proposed itinerary as the final schedule and are advised to confirm their booking details and train timings with IRCTC before travelling.
